Dual tires have a set of problems all their own. In motion, the inner tire's temperature increases due to in-board brakes and poor air circulation. This causes increased air pressure, which expands the inner tire's diameter. As a result, the dual tire configuration is now distorted- the diameters are unequal. Crossfire is a pressure equalizing and monitoring valve that is mounted between dual tires. It bolts easily to the lug, hub cap, or drive axle end. Properly mounted, air freely flows from one tire to the other, maintaining equal tire pressure and load distribution.

This Crossfire System is for ONE dual tire set and comes with:

2 Stainless Steel Hoses, one with straight fitting and one with 180 fitting

3 mounting bracket types:

Bracket A: installed on the 5/8"" or 3/4"" drive axle bolts of both disc and spoke wheels. If the wheel has a hubcap, it can be snapped on over the bracket.
Bracket B: mounts directly on the 1-1/4"" lug bolt.
Bracket T: mounts on the 1/4"" bolt that secures the hub cap to either a disc or spoke wheel.

Dual Dynamics Crossfire Dual Tire Pressure Equalizer... get two

I saw one of these on a friend's motorhome and decided they would be a good safety factor for my motorhome. You only have to fill one easy-to-get-at valve stem and both tires of your dualie set filled to the same pressure. It warns you when your pressure drops more than 10%. And, if one tire has a fast leak or blow out, a safety valve shuts off the air from the good tire so it doesn't go flat, too. The only problem is, you'd expect the kit to come with two sets, since every vehicle with dualies has two sets of dualies. Much to my surprise, there was only one in the package, now I have to order another one. The drawback is the price and the labor to install, which will require a truck tire-shop.

crossfires for motorhome

Have used the Crossfire system on my motorhome for 7 years and I am VERY happy with the system. Had blowout on inside tire and was able to pull over safely as outside tire did not deflate. I also like being able to just look at gauge and make sure tires have enough air.

I bought this thinking I would be able to use it on my pickup with dual wheels.It was rated at 100#. I keep my tires at 80 max when towing a gooseneck or 5th wheeltrailer. I had 2 flat tires one on each side then the mechanic told me it would be bestto remove it unless I can keep 100# in my tires in order for it work. It mightwork for a semi though.
