By Clay Cope
So when I first blew up the tube, I used a little car air compressor, the ones you plug into your lighter. The tube was not big at all, and I was majorly dissapointed. Then today I stopped by the gas station and put a lot of air into it. I was surprised at how big it became, and it worked great for floating down the Snoqualmie river up here. After reading the other reviews, it's clear to me that the other reviewers didn't put enough air into their tubes. I'm a 180 pound guy and this tube was plenty big enough for me, no problem.I would highly recommend the tube and can't wait for winter use. Just be sure you keep putting air into it (I would have a good compressor).05/12/2012 UpdateI used these tubes this winter when Seattle had it's big snow storms. They were great for tubing in the snow and was way better than sleds, etc. You can take jumps on these and they actually provide a cushion'd landing. AWESOME!One caution though, be sure to let air out of the tube if you're not going to use them for a while. I store them in the rafters of my garage, and have left them inflated. However, I walked out last week and they both had popped. It's obvious since I inflated them for snow use, as the air warmed they expanded, obviously beyond what they can handle. They lasted 4 years easily for me, and would have lasted longer had I only let some air out before storing them for summer. gotta order more for river fun now.

The thick rubber in this tube stands up well to rocks and other hazards in river tubing. It also inflates to a size that is fine for me, a 170 lb male. I've tried to find the maximum safe inflation pressure online, but I haven't found anything yet. Just blow it up until it is the right size and you will be happy with it, I promise.
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Not for Lazy River Tubing, Great for coolers
By B. Graham
I bought one of these tubes even though I needed three. All these sketchy reviews had me scared.Once I received it in the mail, I filled it up until just after it started to bubble on one section. I wanted it as filled as possible. At that point, it was clear that this tube is not large enough for an adult. Guaranteed. It was an extremely tight fit around our medium-small cooler. We took it to the Salt River here in AZ and it was actually the same tube they rent out for coolers, or very small children.I have no idea where to get the tubes they have at the river for adults, but they are certainly much larger than this one.
